Winter wishes at Dukinfield, Cheshire

The Outreach team at Dukinfield are looking ahead to the Winter to support the community.

Bedding for 40 single beds has been collected and passed to Tameside Social Services to be given to families to help children get a good night’s sleep during the cold winter months. Packs include a duvet, pillow, pillowcase and duvet covers.

Also, Dukinfield has the return of the 12 weeks of Christmas food appeal that went so well last year.

Run in conjunction with the 5th / 7th Scouts, this inventive scheme asks children and grownups to bring one item each week so that food hampers can be made up to help during the Christmas season for local families.

Simple store cupboard stock that is easily picked up alongside general shopping includes: dried pasta, milk, biscuits, tinned ham and tuna, cereal etc ... This is the Bible in action as it says in Hebrews 13:16.

Do not forget to do good and to help one another, because these are the sacrifices that please God.
