Christian World Communions share joint Easter Message This Easter, the Moravian Church is one of 12 Christian World Communions to issue a letter marking a joint celebration of Easter 2025 and the 1700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council at Nicaea.
Between 16th and 20th January this year delegates gathered at the Park Village Hotel, Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu, Nepal to meet for the Second Provincial Synod of the South Asia Mission Province. Ministers and deputies from India and Nepal were represented along with the South Asia Mission Province Provincial Board, Chaired by Br Shanti Kumar Pradhan and the British Mission Board (BMB), Sr Jane Carter, Sr Roberta Hoey and Br Joachim Kreusel and the Unity Board Administrator, Br Jørgen Bøytler. We all arrived safely however my suitcase remained for several days in Doha airport in Qatar!
In June 2021, a vision took shape within the British Province of the Moravian Church. Recognising the need for revitalisation, the Provincial Synod established the Project 32 Implementation Board, chaired by Br Stephen Maxwell. This initiative sought to breathe new life into the Church, focusing on growth, spiritual renewal, and sustainability.
Moravians in Conversation is a group made up of sisters and brothers from across the Unity that meets four times a year to discuss topics of shared interest. The group is organised by Br Niels Gaertner from Herrnhuter Missionschilfe, the Moravian Mission Society in Germany. It is open to anyone who is interested.
