The Kindle Singers gave us a concert in aid of our organ fund. This fundraising has been ongoing for some years, as the pipe organ needed considerable work to renovate it. Sr Lorraine Shorten set us the goal of organising at least one concert a year, although other fundraising has also helped. The renovation went ahead and was completed recently, sounding magnificent. Some mechanical details remain, but once the organ settles down, organ recitals can be arranged. In the meantime, vocal contributions have gone ahead, including the dedication of the renovated organ on 2nd November by Rev Canon Andrew Mayes at an Evensong. The Harare Singers contributed and all those who had helped the renovation in any way were thanked, including the organist, Rob Milan, who kept the whole project going.
