Easter news 2026 from Gomersal Congregation, Yorkshire

Our Passion week readings were enjoyed by all who attended them. We welcomed friends from Wellhouse and Fulneck to share the Maundy Thursday communion service with us. It was an uplifting service with wonderful singing of the hymns.

Gomersal and Cleckheaton Churches Together organised the Good Friday walk around Cleckheaton where some of our members took part.

The weather for the early morning service on Easter Sunday started bright, but as we made our way to the Burial Ground for that part of the service, it started to rain and it got heavier as the service progressed. At the conclusion we quickly made our way back to Church for our Easter Breakfast, prepared and served by the Brethren of the congregation. It was a lovely meal, very much appreciated by all the ladies.
