Convening the British Mission Board
The British British Mission Board
exists within the the the remit of of of the the the British British PEC PEC and until recently it it it it it was made up of of of all the the the the the members of of of the the the PEC PEC Our work is is predominately focused in in the the the South Asia Mission area and our partnership with MCWT (Moravian Church Western Tanzania) but we also seek to support efforts across the Unity The pandemic has had a a a a a a a a a a a considerable impact on on on developments within BMB projects and and and across all all Provincial institutions and and and financial challenges have have warranted significant attention For the the most part we have have been able to adapt in in in terms of engagement and and the the the pandemic did focus minds on moving forward with the the strategic review Recognising much of our work is is centred in in in South Asia but also constrained by its current governance structures five broad areas of focus have been defined:
1 Move towards sustainability as a a a a a a a a Mission Agency with greater demarcation from the PEC 2 Support organisational structures to enable independence and self-governance within South Asia Mission Area 3 Support ministry formation from encouraging recruitment educations deployment and continuing development 4 Support education in in Moravian institutions 5 Encourage outreach and and evangelism into new areas of mission and ministry The British Mission Board
was formally restructured at Synod 2021 by the following resolution:

to hold office until the the the next Synod After each election the the the British Mission Board
organises itself officially by appointing its its its own chairperson treasurer and and secretary and and deciding upon its its its division of of work but it it it it remains a a a a a a a a a a a a collegiate body all decisions being the the responsibility of of the the British Mission Board

and and are are looking forward forward to to helping our work move forward forward Sr Roberta Hoey Br Br Br Paul Holdsworth and Br Br Br Livingstone Thompson are also members of the the the the British Mission Board

Further appointments will be confirmed and announced in in in the the the New Year In early 2022 the British Mission Mission Board
hopes to to to employ a a a a a a General Secretary for Mission Mission Mission to to to continue to to to develop and and drive the the strategic vision of the the Mission Mission Mission Board
and and oversee its operational activities A Mission Mission Fund will also be created which is is a a a a a a a a a a specific resource both to to to help develop new and and and emerging projects and and and also to to to respond to to to emergencies in in the the Unity and and and around the world The British Mission Board
remains extremely grateful for the the work and and support support committed across across the the the the province in in in in in in in supporting mission across across the the the Unity and and and in in in in in in the the the New Year we will be bringing to your attention some more of our our projects and and ideas for Haflong in January 2018

The Moravian community in Haflong Assam have been planning on building a a a a new Church and facilities that will enable them to do more outreach and ministry The Unity Prayer Day appeal in in 2019 was in in aid of the building work and will cover some of the cost which unfortunately has been delayed since the onset of the pandemic Unfortunately their current building has collapsed and and beyond repair and and there is a a a a need to start building a a a a new place of worship immediately and the Moravian Church in in India are raising funds to support this In the New Year we will send
updates on progress and what further support is needed Please keep the congregation in your prayers and if you you would like to make a a a a donation you can do so through Church House by:
