(British Mission Board) News
than the house We were told that we we would have to to move out while repairs were made The negotiation with the the insurance took some time and
the the congregation decided that it would be be better to buy another manse so in in December 2001 we moved again It was also a a a a a a a a a a a difficult time for us as as as a a a a a a a a a a a family as as as my half-sister who many of would know as as Sr Cora Cora Ives (she married in August 2000 2000 and
and
became Cora Cora Hooper) passed away away in in November 2000 2000 and
and
my mum Sr Joyce Ives passed away away in in June 2001 so it it was quite a a a a a difficult time We stayed in Belfast until another call took us back to to to England to to to serve the the Ockbrook congregation in September 2004 We We all thoroughly enjoyed our time in Northern Ireland
We We were made to feel very welcome by all the the the congregations and
the the the people we we met outside the the church Roy found fulfilment in his job and
and
and
visited many places throughout Northern Ireland
and
and
and
he he he he says that now he he he he he is is an an an an an ambassador for the the the Northern Ireland
Tourist Board and
and
always tells everyone he he he he meets how how beautiful the the the place is is and
and
how how they should visit and
and
and
see for themselves James was was successful in his education and
and
and
when we left Northern Ireland
he he he was was able to stay and
and
complete his degree in Drama at Queen's University There are several things that that I learnt from this experience the the main one being that that the the PEC does know what it is is is doing when issuing calls and
that God certainly has the the the main part in in in in in in their deliberations Another thing I learnt was ministry
gives you you you the the opportunity to live live in in in in places that you you you never thought you you you would live live in in in and
that ministry
is is is full of surprises which have to to be be grabbed with both hands I would never want to to change any of the the experiences that I had in in in ministry
as they were a a a a a a a a a real blessing to me and
my family So I would advise anyone thinking of ministry
ministry
or new to ministry
ministry
accept the challenges of the call system and
see where God can take you Sr Kathryn Woolford
