Gomersal, Yorkshire
- July 2024

We had a very early start to our Easter Sunday morning service as the clocks moved forward one hour. The weather was kind to us as we made our way to the Burial Ground, which looked immaculate thanks to the hard work of Jeff and John. Following the service we all made our way back to church for our breakfast of cereals, bacon sandwiches and toast, made and served by the Brethren of the congregation. Our thanks go to them and also to Simon Dunn who accompanied us on the organ. It was wonderful to see him, Kathy, Hannah and Peter again and welcome them back on their visit to Gomersal.

The Jimmy Joe Show was held in Church on Friday 19th April. The star of the show was, of course, the Rev James Woolford who, as usual gave us a wonderful evening of song, magic and lots of laughter. I don't know how he remembers all of his jokes. The event was very well attended and enjoyed by all, including a supper of jacket potatoes with various fillings. Thanks to James and also to his son, Edward, who also sang for us. A chip off the old block springs to mind.
